Random 60 litre broken pot I glued back together, fillered, sanded and painted. Then whacked 2 ft blue spruce in it in a fabric pot and sprayed some cobbles crimson red for the top.

Our family's forever Xmas tree ;-)

      Good job.

If it cracks again over winter, if you happen to have a reason to buy some cement, you can put an old rag bandage on it, secured nice and tight so it doesn't alter the shape in a noticeable way, then 'paint' it with a very runny cement mix. Then when dry, repaint.

We made some concrete planters last year a similar way. Using an upturned cheap plastic planter, we draped rags soaked in sloppy cement mix over it, adding a layer at a time, then when dry, extracted the plastic planter. There's a dwarf buddleia growing in one of them now and another had a red Acer and some flowers in it last year before the acer got moved to a more permanent location, only to immediately drop dead after being transplanted.

            What glue did you use?
I've found PU adhesive to be pretty good and also gripfil to some extent.

Or did you go for epoxy.

Gorilla glue. The one that expands a bit. Then sanded off excess.

I like the shade of blue you picked for it. Very nice!

Actually it's deep purple, (my favourite colour) just looks blue on here. It looks great purple also but I also like the colour presented in this image. Not sure what sort of blue it is..

Hopefully it doesn't. I spread silicone on the inside over the cracked areas. However, useful tip that I will remember. Thanks
