    Hi All,

As you all know I have been thinking of replacing my lavender hedge its about 7 to 8 years old.

It is looking tatty and has opened up with snow in previous years so looks like someone has rolled into it in places , flower power has reduced I have noticed past two years.

I have been thinking what about a row off hardy geraniums all the same variety , I would appreciate your opinions also best variety ? its well drained full sun from 12.00 till dusk and apart from the lawn nothing else to compete with it.

I had Splish Splash but found the blooms very short lived.

Geraniums are good during the growing season Spruce but not so good when they die back for the winter months, the area will be bare.

my hardy geraniums are not in direct sun, not sure they can handle all that sun. I love mine, they are so nice and dense, keeping weeds out from under them. Wish you lived closer, mine really needs a good thinning out, as they have widened so over the years. I love them for their leaves, and the smell of the leaves. The flowers are purple blue. don' recall the name anymore
