OK I need to transfer some of my roses which are growing in pots into larger pots, I want to use the compost they are growing in rather than replace it all but it is wet, will this matter? Not ideal I know but I want to get it done!!

No it doesn't matter if it's wet Val. If you're transferring them to bigger pots it will mean you need to add more compost. Why not mix in the new dry compost with the older wet stuff. :)
