Well after visiting the rescue centers here is "Ellie" subject to a home check she is the little girl we will be adopting, she was recued from a home along with 30 other dogs many of the pups were her own she has had no life but a life of having pups, she is very affectionate and is just getting over being speyed,I will enjoy teaching her to be a dog again. She is a collie cross a bit smaller than your normal collie and she's as bright as a button.

Walnut Ellie is a beauty, you cant go far wrong with a collie. Ive has 2 border collies myself and they are very loyal intelligent dogs. My last one prince would fetch a ball all day long, they never seem to tire. What a lucky girl she is to have won your heart. Good luck, wishing you many happy "walkies":thmb: 02

:gnthb::luv: Oh Walnut what a little darling...!! I can see you two are going to have such great fun together.. I had to teach a collie what life was once & he turned out to be the most amazing dog I have ever had I think. I am sure Ellie will be too, she has such a beautiful face & eyes. You just know it don't you, when you find the right dog at these homes... Suddenly something clicks & no matter how many others you may look at, you back to that one & you just know it when you both see each other again......... :dh::hehe: Well that's how it is for me anyway...:hehe:
Have the greatest time together Ellie & Walnut..!!:yho:

Ditto to all the above Walnut. Well done you.

As you know Joyce is a border collie cross (or mix?!) too but Ellie looks nearly 100% border doesn't she? 30 dogs!!!!! Did they have much human socialization do you know?

Good luck & wishing you both a lovely, happy time together. Don't forget to keep us posted with pics will you?

    cheers

Ellie is surely blessed to have found a good home with you walnut. :luv: Will she accompany you on your early-morning forays through the countryside?

Like bobj's Sam recently, they are very fortunate to have you guys out there willing to take an unwanted/ill treated pet on and give them a good home and life.

A true Christmas present for you both.

I wish Ellie many happy years with you, and bless you for taking her on. Don't know if you'd had collies befor, but they are very special dogs, you don't usually own them, they own you. LOL

Walnut, she is so sweet looking. What a charmer. Looks loving too.

All we have here in pounds are pit bulls, and I am not about to trust one from an unknown background.
Glad you got her spayed too. Poor dear. She needs lots of nutrients to build herself up, if she had so many litters. Poor sweetie. Give her a hug for me.
