I joined back last year when were hoping to buy one house.

To cut a long story short, 8 months of waiting we pulled out of that purchase and have finally moved in March this year.

The garden faces east to west, sun on the back in the morning and out the front in the afternoon. We're just on the outskirts of Bristol with quite a loamy soil. Nothing has been done with the garden for years as the old lady who owned the house wasn't in a position to do much. The front was all lawn, we've popped a flower bed in. Back is mainly laid to gravel but this will eventually change as we discovered I'm pregnant the day we exchanged contracts (Baby due end Sept) so a bit limited at the moment.

Photos of front and back and herb garden. everything has filled out a bit since then. Plan for back is to have one side as working garden with more raised beds. Concrete base had a large shed on it, which had to come down. Hoping to extend this with either patio/decking to use as entertaining area and beyond this pop grass down for little one to play on.

Welcome back Sarah. Congratulations on the news of your baby. :) It's a shame your time will be limited for the moment, but at least it will give you time to study and plan your new gardens.
