I bought two rhododendron Yakushimanum Flava last summer when they were not flowering. Now they have flowered and are a pink/orange colour see photo. The label is from "Green Gifts" and shows a Flava. I have contacted them and they claim that this is not one of theirs! Can anyone help me?

Were they expensive? If still in a pot I'd take them back with the label and receipt.

Sorry there are masses of hybrid named Rhododendrons.

Rhododendron Yakushimanum Flava....clearly it is wrongly labelled.

Quote..."With bright creamy yellow flowers, with a red basal blotch, this is a very hardy plant from Hobbie in Germany which flowers in mid May. It has lovely neat glossy leaves. Height 100-120cm in 10 years."

    Is the other one correct?
Do you have an invoice to prove Green Gift supplied them...then you would be in your rights to ask for an exchange/refund/redress.

Very annoying IF you wanted a matching pair.
It is rather gorgeous...do you like it?
If so do not worry about a name.
