Well I got my RHS seeds today - very exciting. They are sent out on a first come first served basis, so it pays to order early. The last people will be waiting another couple of months to get them.

For those that don't know. RHS members get up to 20 packets of seed free (£10 admin fee) from seed collected from RHS gardens. There is a list of over 1,000 to chose from. They are mostly unusual plants, so it's an opportunity to grow something different.

But much as I would like to, I think it is too early to sow any for another month yet.

Do you have any that need stratification Peter?

Much better than putting in the fridge. [IMG]

I wasn't inferring that the seeds for the last people are still on the plants Pete :D

But Geoff Handley put me onto the idea of sowing Allium seeds (that do need a months's cold stratification) outside before Christmas - and it has worked a treat. The RHS seed germination guide says they can take up to a year to germinate!
