I wonder do you think if I plant them together if they will be happy. About 3 feet apart.

Is there any incompatibility do you think?

    Many thanks for suggestions

I don't know the answer, but this is something I'd try.

They will cast shade on each other to some extent, but as they are both natively woodland edge plants, I'm not sure they'd be too upset about it.

No incompatability as far as I know but you want to be careful about the raspberry runners invading your rhubarb patch.

Thanks clueless1 - I had spinache with the rhubarb last couple of years in same bed, they seemed to like each other but spinache gone to see this year so am renewing the bed and planting spinache in another bed.

Hi shiney thanks to you also, I had raspberries a few years agon and decided eventually to dig out as they were not doing well. But I have a nice healthy cane cutting from a raspberry plant with lovely fruits, I know it will take possibly two years to get anything but I thought I could control the runners as its starting a brand new plant.
