I need to replace my rhubarb, and my nearest plant nursery is selling it both as bare rooted and in 3 litre pots. The potted ones are double the price, but not expensive enough to be a serious consideration. Have you started rhubarb in either or both of these forms? Is one better than the other?

edited to say: I’m thinking ahead to autumn, not planning to plant until then.

Our local nursery sells both bare root and potted and the potted is basically just their bare root stock that they put in a pot if it doesn't sell. So basically I don't think there is much difference apart from the pot grown one may have had some time to develop some roots over the summer. I have planted bare root in the autumn/spring and it's done well, so personally I don't think it's worth paying more unless you can actually see the plants in growth and where any added value might be.
