Rhus typhina

    I bought what I thought was a stags horn sumac about three years ago my friend had one in her garden and I thought it looked great. My one looks different, the leaves are a lot finer the plant looks more like a bush, are there more than one type?If any one could enlighten me that would be great. :confused:

    There is a variety called " Laciniata" Which you may have

    Hi Dalbuie
    there are a few Rhus with finely dissected leaves try the following:
    Rhus glabra "Lacinata Carriere"
    R x pulvinata "Autumn Lace Group" (Red Autumn Lace)
    R typhina "Dissecta"

    Did your friend mention how much they send suckers out?

    Hi Rich, thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind. [​IMG] Yes she did mention about the amount of suckers they send out. Do you have problems with them?
