Not unexpected considering she was 99 years old.

I've had her cookery books since the day I got married. Without her working for the Ministry of Food during the war, I think there would have been many wives who would have crumbled under rationing.

She's saved my bacon more than a few times on the home front when pennies were tight and inspiration lacking.

    Thank you, Marguerite and RIP

Yes, we've still got her books :blue thumb: The recipes are so easy to follow. We don't use her books any more but we keep them for sentimental reasons

She taught me how to cook casseroles in the 60's and I was grateful for her gentle style that encouraged me to try new things
        RIP dear Lady,
        Jenny
