Sad, sad news - Richard Briers has passed away, following the recent news that he was suffering from emphysema.:cry3:

He always struck me as a kind, gentle and humorous fellow and in no doubt was blessed with an incredible acting talent.

Richard - thank you, sir, for many laughs and smiles over many years; RIP

I'm sure that most of you will remember him just for 'The Good Life' (and not for co-star Felicity Kendal)

One of the Actors who automatically made you smile, and who you somehow knew to be a really nice human being.........and there's no one of his ilk to fill his shoes.:dunno:

        It was really sad news:frown:

He was also a fine straight actor.

One of my favourites, the tasting of 'pea pod burgundy' wine

I've always thought that whatever they portrayed as being possible, I could also have a go at myself, even though it was a comedy programme.
