I just had to have this lovely poppet put to sleep a few hours ago, aged 15 months and a tiny 3.3kgs. He was full of life two days ago ... but couldn't breathe this morning so we were the first at the Vets surgery at 9am. They kept him in on a drip and then phoned at 12.30 to say he had leukeamia and fluid in his thorax .. we buried him at the bottom of the garden.

He adopted us in December nand was never a well chappie and only had nine months with us but it hurts.

RIP Rasputin .. Little Red Guy .. xx

Victoria, I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. Our pets give us so much, and leave a void when they're gone. Treasure your memories, he was a proper sweetie. I'm really sorry Victoria. Thinking of you. xx

Hugs and kisses at your sad loss, Sis and Jim.

I believe it is as Kandy said "I think he was sent to you so that he could spend the last months of his life in a happy enviroment.:)" And he did and brought much joy to you, enriching your lives as you did his, as short as it was.

    RIP Rasputin. xx

Thank you Aaron, Kandy, Robert, Marley, joolz, shiney, claralou, loopy lou, Axie-Ali and Sis for all your kind thoughts. It all happened so quickly I can hardly believe it. I know you'll think I'm mad, but I went down to his grave to speak to him this morning ...

Shiney, the pictures of the red and white cat looking in the window at me was of Mr Red ... the other red and white cat who adopted us last year and died a month later.

I'm still very weepy ... but I have my other three who need me.

    Again, thank you everyone. xx
