    Hi folks,
I'm considering planting an Autumn crop of potatoes in my allotment (I took posession of it about a month ago and want to "use" the space) however I've noticed that my neighbouring plots are starting to show signs of blight attack.

Now I assume that they will be rushing to harvest their crops and that anything I plant will not poke its nose up for a good few weeks but am I just going to grow blight fodder or is there a reasonable chance I could side step the blight

    Thanks

    Andrew

Not sure we are getting ideal conditions for blight at the moment.

The longer things go into the autumn, the better the chance of blight, I would say.

Certainly not had any Blight alerts since the hot weather started. If you've going to grow them knowing its in the area though then best sign up to Blightwatch and spray as soon as you get an alert.

I am from there too Andrew my spuds are ok at least i think so.
I have not heard any one mention blight so far but I am new to this so might not have spotted it my self.
My spuds have been in about 9 weeks or so I think. My allotment is the one with lots and lots of green netting :)
