I just love this one -

How about this warning about the road being slippery in rainy weather ! Or was it to remind people to hold a brolly over the car ?

Great signs Anne - love the hedgehog one too! Here is one near us warning of natterjack toads on the road:

Hi K-G, very evocative piccies, for me. I'm sure you had a great time and I am, of course, insanely jealous :D

Most the road signs in the outback in australia are full of holes they use them for target practice as they drive past.

I've changed the thread name to just "road signs" so it is clear that any sign can be posted.

We have signs warning of toad crossings in the spring over here too Jane. In places even low net or wood "fences" to channel the toads to a central and safe crossing point.

Great pic Mira. Mooses have been sighted in a couple of places in east Germany the past few years. So guess they have signs up there too now.

Were you in Australia walnut, did you get any sign pics?

Does anyone else have any good signs?

Unfortunately I cannot post a picture of the most insensitive road sign I have ever seen. North Yorkshire County Council once put up a sign at the end of a road just on the outskirts of Scarborough 'Dead End'. All that was on the road were the General Hospital and half a mile further was the crematorium. It took 2 years of complaints to get them to remove it.

That is awful John! It makes you wonder how such a sign was permitted in the first place, that no one saw how tasteless it was. Then to take so long to remove it. And these clods are being paid good money to goof up like this, it's disgusting.

I think KG that bureaucrats don't see anything like that. The road is a dead end so let's put up a sign so motorists don't try to cut through it. My mind has boggled for years. (Sorry there is no boggling smiley let's try [IMG] ).

Well, this isn't a road sign, but it was on the road in Kemer, Turkey.

You can safely walk over the two lanes to the green area in the middle, but then you have to crawl through the shrubs and plants to get to the other side of the pedestrian walkway to continue your way across the other two lanes.

Another case of the wonderous bureacratic planning??? It appears to be worldwide.

Well, Sis, I can't see where there's a problem ... all pedestrians cram themselves into that little pathway to the left at the same time!

    Love it, JarBax. :D

    Just love the clip Jane!

Another case of ill-planning - or no planning!
