Just wonder if anyone is into rocks, I'm not really but I do have a passing interest in anything I spot that might be a bit different.
I came across these the other day, pretty sure they are just sandstone but I was taken by the shape and varying colours.
The first one almost has a pattern of wood grain?

We've got odd rocks/pebbles all over our garden, collected on family holidays when we'd return with carrier bags of them (+ seashells and fossils).

We do the same as @Scrungee, particularly any stone with a hole through it. They don't seem as interesting when brought home, they get put around plants in pots and forgotten about.

'The Scream', predating Edvard Munch by millions of years

One of the most interesting visitors to our previous garden was a retired Geology professor. He went round my rock garden and named the rocks in it and said where they had come from, brought by glaciers. We had stones from all over the west coast of Britain.

My garden sits on a rock bed so I don't think I need to collect any. I've got more than enough.
