This is something I've often thought about. Miraflores' post in another thread reminded me of this phenomenon.

In there, we learn that there is a place called El Barco Latino. Or the Latin boat.

In Saltburn, there is a restaurant called Vista Mar (Sea View - it overlooks the sea, as does another restaurant, called, erm, Sea View).

In Redcar there is a pizza shop called Pizza Del Mar. Pizza of the Sea? Pizza from the sea? No it isn't. Its just regular, mediocre, Friday night pizza.

Oh, once on holidays, we found a nice eatery called La Anchora (the anchor).

    Any more?

I don't find these names (El barco Latino, Vista Mar, Pizza del Mar, La Anchora) particularely romantic but maybe you meant more something like "exotic".
This is an interesting post , I will have a further look later.

But I think you are fluent in one or more Latin derived languages, so if I'm right, then those names won't seem romantic, as they are just regular everyday words.

To the typical English person who only knows English, anything written in Spanish, Italian, Portugese, French etc often sounds exotic and romantic.

Take for example something like, pescado con patatas fritas, doesn't that sound yummy. Miles better than fish and chips.
