Root growing hormone

Hi oh wise ones,

I took some cuttings from a friends garden and dipped them in the hormone left em for 6 weeks as directed, didn't do a thing :confused:

Is this stuff supposed to work or what did I do wrong?

confused.com or what!

 

I recall a gardener saying that RHC is not needed.
He or she, I can't remember now, never used it and had no problem.
This is only one opinion of course, others may swear by it!
