Rosas Flowers

    took these flowers at my friends yesterday love going to her garden and taking pics of her lovely flowers.got some lovely pics of the poppies and the orange american poppies.

    Hi Rosa, gorgeous! I like the pink poppies and I have the reddish pinkish plant but not sure what it is called? My friend gave me a tiny piece and it has taken off :hehe:

    Your friend has a lovely garden. I bet you enjoy sitting in it, drinking tea and chatting.

    thanks jazmine for the lovely comments, think that plant is a sienetta or something like that maybe someone can correct me, its lovely sitting in her garden she has a lovely large front garden and back garden, nice when its lovely and sunny and warm

    hi pal and capney thanks for your comments, capney i do like taking flower pics getting right into it, i like them when they have a dark background it makes the pics look nice.

    i too am a bit of a virgin photographer/computer-ist - laptop computer and a digital camera since christmas and all of a sudden i cant leave them alone!!

    i hope newcastle go straight back up BTW, my late mam was a geordie so i have a soft spot for the magpies

    thanks cumberland, im like you i take my camera everywere with me, great to hear your mam was a geordie its a shame they got beat yesterday against aston villa, you to should get some nice pics up cumbria way and do you go to the lakes as its not far from you, enjoy your photography

    rosa - funny you should mention the lakes

    I love the lake district and go as often as i can

    I have been to buttermere very early this morning (8am) and took some photos
    was beautiful, warm, sunny and very tranquil, got a few pics of a red squirrel too

    will put them on the wildlife section in a while

    cumberland i too like the lakes not been for a long time what a lovely place it is, been to buttermere many years ago, i used to go camping every year to the lake district we used to take our power boat ski-ing to lake windermere, look forward to seeing your pics and nice to hear you seen a red squirrel

    Great shots Rosa,:thumb: the plant you named is a "senetti" a pericallis hybrid they have the most intense colours of any plant.

    thank you walnut for the lovely comments, also thanks for telling us name of them flowers thought i had got it wrong just couldnt think of the name, i had one last year on my balcony it was lovely but they only last one season, shame they dont come back as they are a wonderful plant and such vibrant colours
