Rosas Plum Tomato Plant

    my friend is going on holiday soon and was going to get rid of this plum tomato plant, its got tomatoes on but they havnt gone red yet, so i brought it home and have put it on my lounge windowsill as i get loads of sun there in the mornings so hoping the tomatoes ripen and go red.i watered it last night as it was dry and i fed it some tamorite

    thanks robert, just waiting for some sun to ripen them, iff they dont go red i will make some green chutney with them, i do like fried tomatoes with my breakfast yummy

    If those tomatoes don't ripen, use the old trick of putting them inside a brown paper bag and pop them under your bed. This usually does the trick.

    It looks nice and healthy rosa, it would have been a shame to have thrown it out. I reckon you will do well with it there, you might need to nip the top out soon to stop it getting too big.

    thanks strawman and jwk it seems quite healthy, will wait and see when we get some sun iff they ripen some are still growing, and iff they done will do that strawman great advice

    hi matt they are quite a size the tomatoes got 14 growing which is great, them black and white balls on the windowsill bought them at au naturelle quite inexpensive glad you like them

    i was pleased to see one of the tomatoes has turned red, should i take it off vine or should i leave it till others turn.

    great news got 5 tomatoes from this plant, loads more still growing, they have a nice taste

    Well done, Rosa. Now you can reap the fruits of your labour. I quite like plum toms myself, though this year I've eaten more cherry toms than anything else...

    thanks strawman and watersf apparently they are italian plum tomatoes just taken another one off vine, so i have about 12 still growing.
