Rose gardens at Mottisfont Abbey June 2 - July 1

Hi, the National old rose collection at Mottisfont, a National Trust property, opens from 11am to 8.30pm from June 2nd through July 1st.
A must see and must smell place.

Looks fantastic Mike = when would be the best time to go then? I seem to remember on your other post you said beg June - am I right? Not a million miles form me and would make a lovely day out with the camera

 

Hi Marge, yes probably early June, we will probably go first weekend in June or one afternoon in the week following. It's less than an hour's run for us.
When our Complicata and Maidens Blush come out we'll give it a week!!
May be an idea to post when anyone is likely to be there could possibly meet up.

Thats a good idea - I will aim for the first week on June - hope hubby will take a Monday off (daughter will be home so we dont have to rush back for the dogs!)or we may go weekend 0f the 8/9th June. Will take us about an hour and a half I should think

 

As the forecast looks good for tomorrow we will be packing our picnic and cameras and heading out mid morning.
Anybody else likely to be there?
