Rose moving prep?

I plan to move a couple of Roses during the dormant season later this year. Both are climbers and are 4ft & 5ft, both a couple of years old.

Anything I need to do beforehand ie root prune or somesuch, and how much should I prune back when replanting them?

I see the link goes on about good preparation. Are roses acid lovers and can they be dosed with coffee grinds, the same as Azaleas and rhoddies?
