    Hi folks

Wonder if you can help. My crab apple (planted last autumn) has some slightly skanky looking half rotten fruit still hanging on it. Should I remove them?

    Thanks

    Boog

I should leave them for the birds, they can extract nourishment at this time of year. I know they don't look great, but the birds need all the help they can get. Cheers, Tony.

Thanks for the reply! Wasn't sure if leaving the old fruit on there would, in anyway, impair growth this year. Cheers.

I'd make sure its all gone by spring. Unless you don't mind wasps. For now though, I'd leave it, as bird food.
