Thought you might like to see this site for Live pictures from the Webcam of Ospreys at Loch Garten in Scotland. This was the first place that they nested at after being driven out of Scotland many years ago.Despite the tree being felled a few years back before the 24 hour watch started for that season, the tree was resurrected and patched up so that once again people would be able to observe these magnificant birds...:thumb:

Hi Walnut,If you look at the list at the top left hand side you will see links to some other webcams for the Pergerine Falcon Chicks on top of Chichester Cathederal and also a family of Goshawks down in the New Forest.:)

We used to watch the Ospreys from the visitor centre through Binoulars and telescopes so it is nice to be able to watch them close up.I was watching one of the parents this morning feeding the chick and it is fantastic to see how delicately the parents feed such a tiny chick.:thumb:

Hi Roders,I already have it in my favourites so I can get the link straight away which is live action.I wanted to put it on GC but couldn't see any way of doing it.I then pressed the print button and it came up with lots of info and the link was at the bottom which is now on GC:)

I have noticed though at times I only get a still picture on here wheras in my favourites link it is real time.I have to keep refreshing or fiddling with it to get the real time footage.I think it is brilliant though to get so close to nature.Looking forward to watching them grow to flying size:thumb:

PS when one of the parents leaves the nest the wings practically touch the webcam:D

yep, always nice to see wildlife close up.

I just wish the picture quality was a little better, but I suppose that will come as technology improves.:)

Pete,I know what you mean especially the Goshawk oneSomewhere in my favourites I have got a link that shows where all these different webcams are round the country. Some of them are not live so they just refresh every so often, but it is still inetresting to see badgers coming out to play when our world has gone back inside for the evening:)

Walnut I can't believe how fast they are growing. When I was able to view them on Saturday they were bundles of white fluff, then the screen was black for two days and now this morning they have got feathers:D I have just sat here watching one of the parents feeding a chick right close up to the camera. How personal is that:thumb:

Watched Springwatch last night {BBC2 8'oclock} and the Osprey nest on there looks like the one in the above link so thast is also brilliant.Couldn't get on there last night because it looked like so many people were trying to access the link so watching it on the TV made up for it.I am looking forward to watching their progress:)
