Hello, my runner beans are about 8 inches high in modules in the greenhouse. Is it too early to put them out? They have out grown their little pots.

    hi Paula
i dont know where you live and this can make a difference,
where i am in west wales is quite mild but there is still a chance on frost so i wouldnt chance it, unless you can plant out and enclose or cover them (fleece, plastic, glass) but even then there is still a chance you would lose them, mine i have just potted on and put them in the coldframe for now and they seem happy enough
[IMG] these are some that i potted on
yesturday but havent moved to coldframe yet due to lack of space lol

    hope this helps

If they have GOT to go out then there is nothing you can do. However, just stick in 2 foot sticks to help them get started and the plastic / fleece is easier to drape over than an 8 foot cane which can be stuffed in later. Cheers, Tony.
