Beans are well up in fibreous pots showing roots thru not long to go before planting the out in the garden but what I really want to know should I pinch the tops out? never have before but reckon I should have. Any advice please would be most welcome, Haven't got many about 8-10 plants tiny garden didn't fancy pots as if I go away for a few days and it gets hot they stand a better chance of survival in the ground.

Runner beans are indeed very thirsty, so pots would need attention every day. In a small space, it would be best to make a 'wigwam' of half a dozen 8ft canes and grow the beans up this support. It is possible to pinch-out runners at about 18" tall, but the yield is much lower.
