I've grown them in the past :blue thumb:. They grew easily and were quite tasty.

Seed setting depends on a number of factors including temperature and the presence of pollinating insects. Last year a lot of people found it a problem getting any bean flowers to set, because of the adverse weather conditions.

When I grew White Lady I was also growing at least six other varieties at the same time. They all did just as well as each other - but I have lots of early flowering plants that bring the insects.

Give it a go :dbgrtmb: and, if you have the space, try intermixing them some red flowering ones as well. It gives a nice floral contrast. :)

Don't forget that you can grow two plants per cane without it being overloaded. I grow all mine that way. :dbgrtmb:

My efforts of scaffolding bean sticks have to be seen to be believed how they stay up in the high winds is amazing I don't have room for a row so I group them, then tie a couple of xsticks, finding the beans is a challenge, my new husbands delight when he has found a handful is wonderous,
