Ruscus how easy to root

    Or propagate ?

    Bought a large stem out of florist and thought I could may be try to root and then have use of it from my garden.

    [​IMG] I have had a look Scotkat, I am assuming you mean Ruscus aculeatus as I use it quite allot.. So far have found out that as members of the holly family you take Semi-hardwood cuttings taken during late summer but are made from current season's growth that has partially matured and is becoming woody. These cuttings are used to propagate broad-leaved evergreens such as holly, euonymus and azalea.

    So I would just give it a try with your bit from the florists..
    Otherwise I only found propagation by seed or roots....

    MF will take a phot later for you there looks like there are seeds at tip of leaves.
