Im considering getting one of these for my fencing work, cutting up the sides of old panels to cut the nails and chopping up old panels etc for the skip. Hopefully it might save time as between several jobs in the next month ill be taking down and replacing close on sixty 6x6 panels.

Never used one before, do they cut quickly and are they ok with nails (using the demolition metal / wood blades)

    was thinking of:

    http://www.screwfix.com/prods/41063/Power-Tools/Power-Saws/Bosch-GSA900-Sabre-Saw-900W

At the moment i pry out the edge of the panel enough to get bolt croppers in but im wasteing atleast 5 mins per panel then risking my chain cutting the damn things up.

Paul I used to use a Reciprocating saw a few years ago when i was a Cladder/roofer, I cannot speak highly enough of them a really good versatile tool. I,ve never used one through wood but would of put my house on it being like a knife through butter as the industrial roofs sheets i used to cut in my opinion were alot stronger than wood[lappanels]

miluwake used to be known as kango and made the origional kango breaker, they make good machines but expensive.

I have considerd cordless but its too expensive for me, on fencing work i have to run a lead for my breaker anyway.

More often than not here its those stupid metposts so they come out easy as for concrete ive yet to find one i cant break by hand ;) i do things the hard way though if i cant justify spending the money on the tools lol i did treat myself to an auger last year though :D
have you thought about just useing an old axe to cut the nails ? just line it up then belt it with a lump hammer then just cut the top and the bottom of the pannel by a batton and sort of fold it in half ....

Never tried an axe, at the mo I use a big wreking bar then bolt cutters or cold chisel, trouble is it gets slow especially if theyve been fixed in numerouse places.

Do thoes augers work, only ever used hydraulic ones on 3 ton diggers before never the petrol type?
