Very sad news, He was one of Britain's best loved Anglers.
He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.

Very sad, a nice chap who loved angling. Not many left of the old school, Peter stone, and my friend Frank Guttfield all fishing the great upstairs sadly now.

As an Freshwater fisherman I used to watch his programs and did enjoy them and, of course, there was always his trade mark laughter while fishing. I didn't enjoy his sea fishing trips as much as he seemed so intent on out fishing anyone on the boat with him.
A good man and angler, may his rod bend with a good fish and always have a tight line.:snorky:
