What a shame that I should have my website link edited in my posts. Is it really likely that my modest effort would in any way effect membership usage here - I think not. I've always been willing to share knowledge.

    Peter.

Actually, Pete, I think you'll find that most forums don't permit the use of website links in postings. That's been my experience, anyway. However, there is a facility for it to be added to your profile information.

    Nathan,

In view of your attitude towards my using links to my non commercial, personal web site I would be obliged if you would delete my membership of your gardening 'help and advice' community.

    Peter.

I would like to add, that your attitude, to not being allowed to add your links, suggests that the only reason you joined "gardeners corner" was to promote your own web site in the first place.

Too what has already been said - it is also just good manners, to request a site owners permission to advertise whether by link or other form irrespective of whether its commercial or not.

    Peter,

I did try to resolve the matter amicably by Private message, so as not to cause any embarrassment.

All I can say is that I am sorry for inconvenience caused to you, but i must also thank the members for their support.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. This is not the first place he's thrown his toys out of the pram because he can't get his own way.
