My younger cat Salem woke me up just after twelve with that strange mewing that they do when they have their mouths full. Truth be told I was annoyed as it's becoming a nightly event but I turned the light on so that I could dispose of yet another bird or mouse only to be greeted with a squirrel in his mouth.
I'm going to have to buy him a treat tomorrow now :blue thumb:

Maddie has perfected her technique now, no squirrels round here, some in the local park but she is on the lead there, the count so far Fox 2, Rat 1, Jackdaw 1. Cats numerous.
Teenagers too many to count, they love encouraging her to race around them on the local playing fields, she loves the girls squeals when she flies past a hairsbreadth from them, I have had to tell them how not to jump out of the way, as more likely to jump into her path.

One squirrel would be more like a vol-au-vent!

I had a quick look and he seems clean.
The older one, Sage, was the real hunter. She's a tiny thing but about ten years ago she bought me a stoat back. It was still warm.
