Just been reading about salt used on the road and pathways and how dangerous it can be when walking your dog , I have never thought of it before

    Salt
After every walk on the road it is advisable to wash your dogs feet in warm soapy water and dry carefully. Salt is liberally spread around at this time of year and whilst it helps to stop the traffic from slipping on ice, it dries the dog’s feet and can cause cracked pads.
