Some bits sliced thin, some a bit thicker.

Buried in salt overnight, then drained & put to Sun dry. The thicker bits are taking longer to dry right through, but might still work.

I'm sure there was another courgette preservation thread recently, can't find it. Just thought I'd mention this recipe for creamed courgette which I tried a few days ago, using overgrown teenager size marrows that I picked when I got back from hols. Worked really well and I have bottled some in my lovely new Weck jars. Take care not to let it brown, though and add the garlic at a later stage so it doesn't brown too much.

Probably was, I was just inspired by a geology program about salt & finding preserved human remains in the desert, thought i'd apply it to Courgettes :snork:

            Gotta practice on something:heehee:

They should really have warned in the program that the end product might taste a bit too salty. ;)
