same sex marriage?

so. the same sex marriage rules have come into effect. there are allot of different views on the topic out there, what are your views?

 

As long as they serve nice food at the reception I'm happy.

And, from the "church" point of view: after all the revelations and church scandals ... stop the hypocrisy!

I don't really care, but it does make me wonder, what happened to the old tradition of getting married and having kids. Its too complex for me to think about, and nobody is doing any harm with this, so live and let live I say.

 

I don't have strong views one way or the other really.

What I did notice today though, was that all the lefties at the BBC were practically wetting themselves with excitement over the whole thing. Every single news bulletin on BBC TV and radio has been leading with this story all day long, the amount of time devoted to it being, in my view, wholly disproportionate to its importance.

 

It has also been done to death by most newspapers of varying political views.

Totally agree.

 

Bit old fashioned here. Children one of each, grandchildren 6, passing on the ol genes seemed normal. So nice to look at these folk knowing you have helped make them with a bit of help from the wife. Family life no Same Sex stuff in my house.

 

What I don't get is why they are calling it 'same sex' marriage? I mean, I thought all marriages were 'same sex' marriages. Mine's been the same for years now.

 

the part that bothers me is when they adopt and the affects of their life style on a wee little one who did not have a choice to be in that mix. Oh, yes we could argue that abusive parents would be worse, or insane parents worse, or parents who did not care worse. But all that bothers me too.
