I'm considering growing these next year due to their high blight resistance and the tendancy for our allotment to be hit by blight every year, although this year we where not for the first time in about ten years I'm told.

Has anyone grown these before, and more importantly how did they stack up to the various different cooking methods?

    Many thanks!

    Steve...:)

I bought 2 bags of Sarpo Mira from T&M when on 'special' at £1 a bag (it was getting rather late to plant) and using a code to get free P&P. I didn't have any ground ready for them as I wasn't intending to plant any more spuds, so I strimmed and rotavated a recently taken on plot that hadn't been cultivated for about 10 years and placed some comfrey under them when planting, plus being planted that late they really suffered from the dry summer.

This is what I got for my £2, perhaps 30 kg?, but I haven't weighed them yet. Taste test is next.

That's an excellent deal Scrungee. I've looked at the catalogues of all the suppliers I could think of but I'd forgotten about Thompson and Morgan.
