Has anyone grown these before? A super fruit allegedly. I've bought one for Mrs L's gran which luckily isn't until June as the plant was pathetic (Marshalls) so hopefully will put on some decent growth beforehand

We have something called Saskatoon berries which look a lot like blueberries but taste like apples. Is that what your plant would produce?

    Interesting.. :)

Sorry, I've only had first hand experience eating them. They make a lovely pie :)

The trick with these is pruning. When they are first planted, cut them down to about 15cm or so. Then regularly. Within a period of 5 years, it should be a lovely bushy plant around the 2 metre mark. If thats too high, dont worry. They seem to respond well to hard pruning.

Which one is it? There are several different ones.

Edit: They do make lovely jams and pies. Try a site called "allrecipes" for err...recipes! :snork:

Perfect, thank you for that. The plant sent through was barely a twig so might chop it to see how things go
