Oh, that's fantastic Robert. Both my father and t'other half's father and myself and t'other half worked on various aspects of the Saturn V in the 60s/70s in Huntsville, Alabama. My father was presented with a 1.5 meter (more or less) model of the Saturn V and it sat proudly in our foyer in Huntsville. Somehow along the way, it got lost ..... It was a very memorable time in our lives but I have many personal and NASA photographs to remind me of my days working in that environment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_V Thank you for sharing that. xx
That's a great effort Two weeks ago (28th Dec) I was very disappointed . We were over at French Guiana (at Devil's Island) for the launch of Ariane 5 and hung around at sea just outside the 14 mile exclusion zone for five hours waiting for the launch. They cancelled the launch at the last moment as they said there were storm clouds overhead - we had completely clear skies. We reckon it was cancelled on purpose by the French just to upset us Brits.
Hi Victoria I can well remember being mesmerized at the time of the Saturn flights and the trips to the moon. This short video of mine may well bring back a few memories for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4W2bvy2FSgE
