I saved seed from this summers flowers of Scabious Chile Black, Delphinium, Aquilegia,Lupin and lychnis coronaria. Can I sow them in a greenhouse or coldframe now? Which is best. The greenhouse can be heated.

    Thanks,

    Ry

You could always try sowing part now Rydall, but I think that spring would be better. If you sow them in a coldframe, it's really like sowing them outside. At best they might do nothing till the spring and at worst they might germinate now and then be killed by colder weather.

I raised the point in the thread Winter Sowing. And I have to agree with Geoff that there is no point unless the seed needs special conditions. My interest was in sowing seeds that need a cold period and can then take up to a year to germinate. But I think all yours will germinate easily in spring.
