I grew several different types of cucumbers, only one of which was particularly fruitful.
I'm trying to salvage my genetics memory - can I save the seeds from the cucumbers which successfully grew in my allotment? If the original seeds were f1 hybrids does that mean i'm now in the f2 generation and so they won't be successful? My brain hurts.
Also, can I save marrow and bean seeds?
    Thanks all.

Many thanks Pam for a great link. It looks like a really interesting company - I'll give them a try at seed-ordering time next year.

Yes. Plus if they are an F1 greenhouse / indoor variety they will be sterile, so you won't get anything at all!
