Hi, Valentine, and welcome to GC from the US of A! From which State to you hail? I've lived on Long Island, Connecticut, South Carolina and Alabama.

I've always had sportcars (Austin Healey Sprites) ... up until I "retired"; have a mountainbike now!

Must be just mid-morning by you so guess you'll only be chatting to you afternoons and evenings!

    Hope you enjoy the site!

 Wow!!! What a warm and nice welcome!! I live in the Virginia piedmont region (nestled right in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains). We have four distinct seasons, so I get a taste of cold, freezing temps and some snow in the winter, a breezy spring, hot summer and crisp fall. LadyofLeisure, I'll be visiting Connecticut next week for the first time. We'll be motoring up in our little sportscar for a few days, traveling through Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and a teeny piece of New York on our way. Summer and fall are always our traveling time and we try to take in several little sports car rallies during summer and fall.
Gardening is a hobby I've dabbled in for about 25 years, but I took respite for several years due to hand problems, but glucosamine/chondroitan seems to have gotten that problem under control and I've jumped back into it and love it. I'm so looking forward to putting in a nice English Garden with wildflowers, lavendar and anything else I can find to make ugly spots beautiful. Thank you all for the warm welcome. :D

Hi, again, Val! We have friends who live in Leesburg, Virginia. I lived in Granby, Connecticut, in the mid 50s and it was just a tiny hamlet then. We had a lovely two-storey wooden house at the edge of a woods and I have very fond memories from there ... mostly the snow, LOTS of it, and my sister and I used to scoot down the slopes into the woods in a big roasting pan lid! We did get a sleigh for Christmas that year, but the pan was far more fun! If you pass through there, take a pic of something neat for me, like the old steeple church!

What type sports car do you have?
