saying Hi

Hi there

I am 37 and live in Wellingborough.

I come from a family of gardeners, my mum taught me to garden, my pap (on my mum's side) loves to garden and my gran (on my father's side) did too when she was alive.

I studied NCH Plant Production and Marketing nearly 21 years ago and loved it. I worked in a plant nursery for a year and adored it, then went to work in a garden centre for 4 years.

Sadly I realised I would never earn enough doing this so went herding numbers instead (working in accounts and admin).

I have now moved into a house that has a garden that has been used as a kids playground for years and it is pretty much a blank canvas. I realise I have forgotten so much of what I learnt at college so thought to find a group of people I can bombard with questions while I turn this blank canvas into a sanctuary.

I love gardening and am so excited to create something beautiful. I am also toying with growing a small amount of edible stuff, but not sure of that yet... it's the flowers I love!!!

just wanted to say, having mooched around a bit, this is a great site and you have all made me feel really welcome, and I've been here less than 24 hours.
