Thanks Andrews. :) This was sent to my husband a couple of weeks ago, so it's either very late reaching him or the scam is under way again. I think it's best that we're aware of it, better safe than sorry.

Totally agree. There are lots of similar scams around. I am inundated with emails for payroll queries, outstanding invoices, an unpaid vat bill for £30K (I wish our vat bill was anywhere near that !) All scams with virused attachments.

This one is still doing the rounds to clog up social media - much like the perfume that knocks you out and lots of other warning messages.

Thank you. I think this is one of the scams that has been going on for a few ears.

These, and similar types of scams and hoaxes are always doing the circuit. Social media has made it easier for the baddies.

As a basic principle, always ignore or delete anything that comes from out of the blue and says you have won something, missed a delivery, money is owed to you, you have overpaid etc.

If you think they may be genuine then don't click on a link in the message or phone the number that it shows. Do a search on the internet about it. There are plenty of websites that show you hoaxes and tell you about them, such as Snopes, Truth or Fiction etc.
