[IMG] I call one of my herb gardens Scarborough Fayre as I have Parsley (both flat leaf and curly), Sage (four colours - white, purple, pink and red), Rosemary (wild) and Thyme (three types - normal, wild and lemon). These all take the sun and heat here but things like chives, coriander, watercress and mint grow better with less sun so I have them in a Bristol sink in a shady spot.

I suppose cotton lavender and curry plant would also grow okay where you are as they are both silver leafed and tolerate the sun well..I have a big cardoon that would also enjoy portugal..I dont think i would like to live in the sun ..i actually like the english weather.. :D
