Hopefully not. If Scotland gets independence next Wales will want it too and before you know it we will have to give the falklands back too :(

I don't think they really want Independence - some of them can be a bit ornery though:heehee:

We built a wall to give them their Independence years ago - they wanted to kick it down so they could still come and play.

If the Scottish people vote for independence, then I say let them have it (independence that is). They have enough resources to support themselves.

But there are two sides to every coin. If they get independence, we should stop sending them money from central government.

The question which popped into my head this morning was, if they get independence, will those already south of the border have to notify the Border Agency they are here? Wales couldn`t cope alone, we are much too small a nation. But great things come in small packages, so treat us with GREAT respect.:yess::yess::yess::loll::dbgrtmb:

I will be voting for English independence, but I doubt we will get the chance.

I'm thinking regarding Scotland, that funny little bloke wants two questions on the voting form, total independence, or greater devolution?

He wants his cake and eat it.

If the Scots want independence, fine just lets make sure that is what it is, totally.:)

If Scotland goes it alone, will it have to renegotiate its membership of the EU? Will it ditch the pound in favour of the Euro? And will it still want the Queen as Head of State, or will Dame Alex Salmond get the job? :heehee:

I think that if the Scots want independence, they should have it - as long as they don't start asking England for aid if it all goes pear-shaped. I've got a horrible feeling that, whatever happens, it will somehow always be our fault. Just ask my Uncle Hamish. :heehee:

PS If we lose the Saltire from the Union Flag, can we have a Welsh dragon instead?

Remind me again why Scotland joined the union?

Oh yes, a little matter of a failed expedition to colonise the Americas, not realising it was a little bit warmer than Scotland. Led to Bankruptcy.

A young Welsh bloke once said to me "There''s no Black in the Union Jack"

I pointed out there was no Draig Goch either. He claimed to not like Black people, I asked him why not as he'd never met any:what:

Clare, if Scotland goes independent they will have to apply for EU membership. If they are accepted they MUST join the Euro. Also, England doesn`t give them aid anyway. The UK gives them , and we Welsh, FUNDING, which we contribute too anyway.:dbgrtmb:
