      Cheers John

Personally just one greenhouse carbon panel popped, now re secured

Lots of structural damage around Fife though and a couple of deaths by STUPIDITY IMHO,
When in a beufort violent storm force 11, and ahead visibility with wipers on double speed is 20 yards, you do not do 70mph on a 60mph road to overtake the slow car infront , you tend not to see the double decker bus coming towards you on side lights
Result two kids with no Mum for Crimbo and a Widower to cope with it all :-(
and my Son IL not overpleased at cutting the bits out for two hours in it all

Not so much not overpleased as a bit Traumatic

That is so sad Jack. But some people just never learn, do they! Those same people always seem to be the ones that get away scot free (please excuse the pun) after tearing someone elses life apart.

It's very sad to hear, Jack. Bad weather and bad decisions kills and changes lives for ever unfortunately.

I experienced some of the Scottish winds in the 70's when detached to the Isle of Lewis. I was at the only RAF Radar Camp on the island at a place called Aird Uig on the West side. They used to have 100 mph plus regularly there and the sheep being savvy knew where to shelter in the dips of the terrain. You could literally lean into the wind without fear of falling on your face. I remember trying to get out of my hut by kicking the door so the the sheep lying on the other side would get up and let the door open. Also remember walking on the beaches seeing hundreds of Whale bones littered all along them. A wild and beautiful place!!!

Hey Bambooruth, good to see you back we have been worried about you and your Sis missing for a while

                Are you both OK ?

Sorry about the truck but glad you and your animals are safe and warm

You have had it worse than us, in Central belt Scotland
Seems central and up north got the battering

                Glad you are well

Winds have passed hooligan status here in North west Cumbria, not too much damage as yet, only one weighted blowaway has done just that. We'll see in the morning what it's like.

Good luck to you all North of us, it's only 80mph here, I cant begin to imagine those speeds double that a bit further north.

                    Stay safe!

                    Steve.
