    Hi.

I have been informed sea weed is good for the garden i would like to know other gardners views and thoughts on this and how would one put it in ie when its (fresh off the beach) or would one leave it (dry out) either way would you leave it on top of the soil or dig it in ???

    Hi there golfer.
Our friends on the West coast of Eire stack it for a couple of months to allow the rain to wash out most of the salt, then dig it in.

You can put as much as you can get onto asparagus from now until the ferns die back - they are seaside plants and love the saltiness. I just put it on whenever I can get it. I don't dig it in, the worms take care of it if you lay it on top of the soil as a mulch - it just disappears. Lucky you if you can get a supply [IMG]

Collect it from above the high tide mark and there is no need wait for the rain to wash away the salt, Compost it, use it as mulch, wish I could get a lorry load!
