Went down yesterday to do a bit of metal detecting.

Been a cliff fall since my last visit. People sit under the cliffs during the summer.

Part of the beach has been washed away down to the Blue Lias bedrock.

Don't think this Style will be with us much longer.

The layer of rounded pebbles is from the Tsunami which washed out part of the coast road.

Oh god Ziggy just another reason not to visit the Southwest this summer.

First big cats running wild, now sunami and cliff falls.

Its all sounding a very dangerous place:WINK1::D

Very Dangerous Pete, we don't want people coming down here & getting hurt.:WINK1:

Not to mention the North Devon Porcupine colony, might get puncture wounds:thud:

My Dad always told us kids that the outside bit of the Pork Chop was poisonous, and that he'd eat it to save us all.

          Chesil beach
Back in my young gardening days I planted a good bit of seed down Weymouth way :heehee:

The chippy outside the dockyard, used to deliver to the ships, phone the order, and wait on the gangway (we used to phone in on a duty rota)
(One of the very few places I have found that actually provided sliced cod roe in batter with chips)

The night we sailed we always had the new boy on duty rota to phone in for the fish n chips from CAPTAINS CHIPPY, and duly supplied him with the Captains cabin number :yess:

          Good evening Captain speaking
Err I want twelve fish n chips, two sausage and chips, a cod roe to Warship ObeĀ£"$% Jetty two, can you be quick please

          Click
Better try again son we are starving :-) :yess:

I was the new boy once
