What boxes do u all keep your seeds in? I've been busy today and made myself a box and put all my seeds in it. I have taken a pic but gotta wait for hubby to come home and put it on the puter. I've made dividers with the months of the year on and sorted the seeds so I know what to plant in each month. I'm hoping this will make my veggie gardening easier next year.

This is my own hand painted seed box. I have not got round to do the interior dividing yet, so it is a bit messy in there :D but it is nicely large and practical, it closes well, and I screwed a handle on top for easy transport. I do my book-gardening, catalogue-searching and colour scheme-pondering in the dining room (which is also my studio) and the seed box is always close by, so I wanted it to look tolerably nice.

I write on the packet when they were sown (esp. for successionally sown crops). I photograph them as a record of what-when (being too lazy to keep decent records; I write up the records en-masse using the [dates of the] Photos periodically)

Ivory: you should make & sell those boxes. Dead smart!

That is a beautiful, beautiful box. I use an old icecream box. I'm now very ashamed.

I'll swap you Ivory your box is gorgeous. Here's the pic of mine:

I'm thinking of doing some little things to do cards and putting them in each month so all I have to do is go to my seed box each month and see what I've got to do in the garden. It'll help me loads as my memory is soooo bad

Hey, what's with all these posh seed boxes? Mine that I don't sow right away get wrapped up in newspaper and put into plastic supermarket bags and stashed away in the shed. They get found again too many years later and eventually thrown away. The seed merchants must love people like me.

From work i recycle the small containers that house brazing nozzles.
They are airtight, and great for the job.

Before that, it was just biscuit tins like the rest of us.
