    Hi All,

I have not collected seeds before and was wondering how do you know when to collect. I have put some photos on af my Calendula that i was going to dead head. I was wondering are these ok to collect seeds from? If so do i just pull them off and dry them out before storing and also i presume that it is the green parts at the bottom of the flower?

Calendular is an easy one, just wait until the seeds start to look slightly brown and collect them before they drop naturally.
You could cut the stems while still green and put them in a paper bag, but you need to be sure the seed is almost ripe before doing so.

Yes the seed is the green bits under the petals that fall off, but they need to grow on for a while before harvesting.
